ZS’s Business Technology group helps companies define and execute their technology strategy by designing, building and operating their business intelligence (BI), cloud, data management, dashboard and analytics capabilities. Team members strategize, design and build custom IT solutions to improve our clients’ commercial effectiveness.


The QA & Test team develops and executes test cases on software solutions to ensure new functionality and fix known defects. Test Consultants design, implement, test and deploy business intelligence solutions to meet business process requirements.


  • Plan, deploy and manage the testing effort for any given engagement / release;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and teams;
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts and project managers to define the appropriate testing approach;
  • Define key test processes, best practices, KPIs, collateral;
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met;
  • Define the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery;
  • Deploying and managing the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
  • Travel to US (as needed) to work with client and provide technology expertise to other ZS teams
  • Coach, mentor, and conduct training programs in data modeling, data warehousing, and other IT topics
  • Play active role in developing and growing the practice.


  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other computer-related disciplines with strong academic performance;
  • 7-9 years of software testing experience in business intelligence domain;
  • Experience with end-to-end testing of the ETL process of a data warehouse system;
  • Experience in developing test plans, as well as translating them into test cases and executing them;
  • In-depth understanding of defect management processes;
  • Advanced SQL skills for development of expected results and troubleshooting problems found during testing;
  • Adroit in HPQC or any other industry standard TC management tool, testing data warehouse applications – OLAP & OLTP;
  • Strong project management and delivery exposure, in BI.

Additional skills:
  • Must be technical, creative, detail-oriented and a strong team player;
  • Knowledge of current data modeling, and data warehouse concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends;
  • Significant experience with analyzing and troubleshooting the interaction between databases, operating systems, and applications;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form;
  • Help with the selling process including writing proposals and giving product demos;
  • Significant supervisory, coaching and hands-on project management skills;
  • Ability to work within a virtual (off-shore) team environment and contribute to the overall timely delivery of multiple projects.

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
