Context/Scope:

The STP Tower is responsible for ensuring that the Source To Pay processes - spanning Sourcing, Ordering, Invoicing and Payment activities, across Tactical Procurement, PTP, and T&E process areas - are operating effectively & efficiently, are effectively managed and drive value for Diageo, as well as ensuring the control agenda (SOX compliance) across all areas.

The STP Governance team is responsible for managing & delivering the STP elements of Diageo’s Project Portfolio, including supporting the expansion of the Shared Services/STP Tower footprint across existing and new service lines. Diageo’s Project Portfolio will include Transition Projects, SBM Projects and Local/Regional/Global Process Improvements, spanning all applications and processes within the STP scope - including COUPA, SAP and Concur. The STP Governance/ Transformation team will manage & deliver these Projects using the PACE Agile methodology

The STP Process SME is part of this team and is responsible for providing Business Analysis and Subject Matter Expertise to deliver against Diageo’s Project Portfolio – typically through analyse and design.

The role requires good system and E2E STP process understanding, Governance/KPI framework requisite for STP, Compliance, SOX controls and will work closely with the STP management team. The SME will also be a business partner with STP Service Delivery and STP Systems teams across the STP global landscape. The role will also require good relationships with key stakeholders across the markets at all levels.

The role requires good leadership capabilities in the field of taking ownership, driving changes, visibility and stakeholder management due to the nature of the supported markets.

Organizational Context

Enterprise Operations is a multi-functional shared service centre that is managing DIAGEO-wide transactions across various regions. Processes in scope are: Consumer to Cash, Source to Pay, Financial Control, Planning & Reporting, and Treasury. Business Services is a multicultural, multi-language environment.

Financial

This role will be responsible for ensuring time spent on Projects is allocated on a regular basis in Planview to allow accurate financial reporting against a Project

Market Complexity

The STP Governance & Transformation team has a global remit across STP Systems & Processes servicing most of Diageo’s markets and users across all regions including Europe, NAM, LAC, Africa and APAC.

Relationships:

  • Cross Business: Global, Regional and In-market Teams, Global IS Community including Programme/Project teams, Project stakeholders as well as other Process teams (Financial Control, E2E Commercial, Data).
  • Internal: STP Service Delivery, STP Governance, STP Systems Admin teams across Budapest, Bogota, Bangalore, Nairobi and Manila.
  • External: 3rd Party IS Service providers (eg. Infosys, TCS)

These relationships will encompass people based in a variety of locations and across multiple cultures, languages and time-zones.

Responsibilities

The STP Governance/Transformation SME (L5C) is responsible for:

  • Supporting the STP Governance Manager to deliver the current & future project portfolio with STP impact
  • Providing Business Analysis & SME input to efficiently deliver Projects & initiatives
  • Ensuring Project Delivery is aligned to the STP Global Process Framework
  • Transformation of the existing STP process with their knowledge of the best in class, fit for purpose process’
  • Ensuring robust designs and limiting process deviations to only statutory and legal requirements
  • Supporting delivery of the internal STP Process Improvement pipeline
  • Support process knowledge gaps within the team
  • Ability to work effectively across business requirements and technical solutions
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and pre-empting compliance issues
  • Effective Business Partnering with Key Stakeholders across Diageo to ensure the insights into their projects & change requirements

The job holder may be instructed by his/her immediate superior to perform all tasks directly or indirectly related, additional or supplementary to the scope of duties defined in this role profile

Qualifications and Experience Required

Key Criteria to be successful in this role:

  • Competent in STP systems & processes and working knowledge of Tactical Procurement , PTP and T&E processes
  • Knowledge of STP Governance framework, Controls and Key performance indicators
  • Competent in leading Analyse & Design phases of a project
  • Basic People collaboration skills
  • Competent in working with remote teams
  • Good experience of building, developing and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proven track record of driving successful change
  • Understands the role of Internal controls
  • Able to work proactively and effectively in cross functional and global team at all levels in an organisation

Skills Required:

  • SME expertise in STP Systems & Processes (SAP, Coupa, Newgen, Concur)
  • Knowledge of ARIS Process Modular preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Good leadership skills
  • Solution oriented approach to challenge existing ways of working and to drive complex changes through effective stakeholder management
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive approach with tenacity and drive to succeed
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Flexible on shift timings / night shift
