In Nielsen Media, we lead the market in content ratings across various platforms, such as TV, streaming, and digital advertising. Join our Media Platform team and work with open-source software, cloud technologies, and Kubernetes to build a central platform that manages data, tools, and monitoring systems. Our platform handles large amounts of data and containers and is constantly growing. **Responsibilities** - Architect new platform products using open-source, cloud, and DevOps technologies for Nielsen’s product portfolio. - Review critical business products to ensure they are built reliably, scalable, and cost-optimized. - Design and implement low-latency networking products. - Improve and define standard DevOps and SRE practices for platform development at Nielsen. - Mentor other team members in enhancing their technical and soft skills. **A Little Bit About You** You have a genuine passion for DevOps and love learning new technologies. You see the building blocks in the community as opportunities to create innovative solutions. **Qualifications** - Several years of experience in a DevOps role leading critical projects. - In-depth knowledge of core DevOps concepts and tools, including source control, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, alerting, and logging. - Deep understanding of Kubernetes, with experience in AWS Kubernetes as a plus. - Proficiency in Linux, including networking and DNS. - Experience with Big Data (e.g., Spark, Presto/Trino) and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) is advantageous.
