In Nielsen Media, we are the leaders in driving content ratings across various platforms including TV, streaming, digital advertising, and more. Joining our Media Platform team, you will have the opportunity to work with open-source software, cloud technologies, and Kubernetes to build a central platform for managing and organizing data, tools, and monitoring systems. Our platform deals with large volumes of data and containers, and it is constantly growing.

Responsibilities
  • Architect new platform products using open-source, cloud, and devops technologies to support Nielsen’s product portfolio.
  • Conduct architectural reviews to ensure critical business products are built for reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Design and implement low-latency networking products.
  • Review and improve DevOps and SRE practices in platform development and define standards for Nielsen.
  • Mentor other platform team members to enhance their technical and soft skills.

Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in a DevOps role leading critical projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of core DevOps concepts and tools, including source control, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, alerting, and logging.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, with experience in AWS Kubernetes as a plus.
  • Proficiency in Linux, including networking and DNS.
  • Experience with Big Data (e.g., Spark, Presto/Trino) and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) is advantageous.
