Title:
Engineer, FEA / Sr.Engineer, FEA

Introduction:
The role of the individual is to provide FEA Support on the Screening equipment for the Technology and Regional Engineering teams in the Screening Business Line.

Strong on the fundamentals of Mechanical engineering and in particular “solid mechanics”.

Good hands-on experience with the ANSYS Workbench.

Working knowledge with CAD and PLM environment.

The role involves adaptability and flexibility to meet the expectations of global stakeholder’s requirements.

Reports to:
Manager – Engineering Center, Screening BL

Main Responsibilities:
Support of Technology / Regional team for the following:
To Start with:
Prepare the model for the FEA study which includes
Input Files
CAD geometry correction / simplification / applying connections
Mass distribution
Meshing
Perform Static Linear analysis using Inertia relief method
Perform Modal analysis
Study results, Interpret and prepare technical report
Interpret FEA reports from others and work with the design team to propose improvements
Co-ordinate with global team to continuously improve techniques and process

To grow into:
Perform static and Non-Linear analysis
Perform harmonic response analysis
Compare simulation and test data to establish correlation and use it as a basis for further analysis
Carry out the manual calculation wherever possible
Develop / Identify tools for quick calculations and used as reference to validate FEA results

Regional Engineering team (East, Central, West)
Technology development team (East, Central, West)

Countries : Australia, Germany, France, Finland, Brazil, Chile

To succeed:
Essential

Master’s in mechanical engineering with 2-5 years’ experience (or) Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering with 5-7 years’ experience
Strong foundation in Solid Mechanics, Engineering Design and Finite Element Methods
For Bachelor’s candidate, GATE Score of 700 and above will be preferred.
Experience with the use of CAD/PLM (Inventor, Vault, team center).
Knowledge in technical writing of test plans and reports
In-Depth knowledge of the ANSYS tool and ANSYS CAD environment “Space claim”
Should be adaptable, quick learner and exhibit knowledge / skills for process improvement.
Language skills: Fluent verbal/written English required; other language skills are a bonus.
Willingness to extend working hours when required to support global requirements involving different time zone
Working experience with Vibrating equipment’s considered advantage

Desired

Engineering in the field of Vibrating equipment – highly desirable and advantageous
Good understanding of the PLM process
Experience with SAP-PMM HANA
