JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Transportation of Goods by Rail Job Management.

· Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.

· Resolve any arising problems or complaints

· Establish rail equipment requirements for each business unit.

· Collaborate with Director of Logistics and Commercial on negotiation strategy with railroads and negotiate new or expired contracts and tariffs.

· Assure rail rates are accurate, freight bills paid timely.

· Resolve railroad service issues and metrics.

· Prepare various analysis/reports and recommendations for key rail activity: Lease (new/renewal/expiration), Maintenance/Compliance and Freight negotiations.

· Review rail contracts (lease, freight, track, storage) and provide commercial guidance to our department

· Direct plant rail operations and 3rd party vendors to assure rail goals and targets are accomplished.

· Provide coverage for counterpart to ensure rail operational needs are met

· Stay current with rail market and provide quarterly updates and analysis that could be used to adjust strategy

· The candidate will be responsible for preparation and execution of rake movement plan in coordination with specific Station and by intra departmental communication.

· Forecasting of rake availability and monitoring the pre-handling activities.

· Monitoring of loading and unloading activities in co-ordination with our load adjustment.

· Monitoring timely placement and release time to minimize the demurrage hours and turnaround time of rake.

· Dealing with all the formalities and documentation related to movement of goods by railway.

Eductaion :Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: 3 to 5 years’

Work Location : Gandhidham, Gujarat.

Salary : 18000-35000/- P.M.
