We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Manager
Principal responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, other IT stakeholders and potential GTRF clients.
- Collaboratively manage with IT, the business and technology stakeholders to shape/refine and manage the technology roadmap and deliver business priorities.
- End-to-end responsibility for the IT client onboarding and implementation support function for Structured Trade Finance (STF) products and roll-out of new client onboarding procedures/processes.
- Track, plan and coordinate end to end client onboarding across products, IT and business teams.
- Manage IT client onboarding team to support and maintain standard client onboarding artefacts to conform to HSBC global and STF standards.
- Manage third party technology vendors. Ensure their performance meets the necessary standards and ability to deliver the required pipeline of outcomes.
- Work with stakeholders to manage risk, prioritise demand and determine potential remediation actions that may be required.
- Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
- Manage programme budgets, headcount and software delivery capitalisation.
- Management of service agreement monitoring of third party contracts with technology suppliers.
- Leading and motivating the project team towards successful delivery, this will be spread across numerous diverse locations.
- Reporting, verbally and in writing, project status and progress to senior managers and stakeholders.
- Promote and drive continuous improvement regarding the set-up and operation of the applications and their eco-system, in order to improve service, stability and throughput.
- Adhere to bank’s standards and approved tools for deployment and operation of applications and management of operational risk.
- Ensure availability and development of the right skills to deliver in the teams.
Requirements
- Preferable business domain knowledge of Trade Finance, banking domain including Supply Chain Finance.
- Exposure to end to end client integration with Host-to-Host(H2H), Sterling File Gateway(SFG) & Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) integration solutions will be added advantage
- Strong payment processing knowledge and understanding of swift and ISO xml standards.
- Strong knowledge of industry standard file formats.
- Strong technology engineering background with proven ability to identify, design, and implement large-scale, complex global technology, ideally with recent experience of agile/devops methods.
- Proven track record of managing end to end integration projects in financial institutions, integrating solutions from Customer facing to Product Processing, Finance and Risk.
- Strong stakeholder management capability building working relationships with people at all levels.
- Programme management ability to manage multiple projects with distributed and virtual global teams including vendor engagement
- Prior experience on Mainframe or Java related technologies will be added advantage
- Ability to present topics and articulate ideas to senior management and other stakeholders both in Technology and the Business
- Demonstrate strong organisational and management skills
