FSM Bangalore team is looking for operational engineer to support the operational activities in DevOps environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

A passion for software development and maintenance with a strong desire for continuous improvement
Troubleshooting issues ranging from diagnosing hardware/software issues to large scale failures within a complex infrastructure
Coordinate and provide post install support for all application installs, upgrades, and patches related to infrastructure (database, server, storage, network)
Identify and implement opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies.
Involves close collaboration with product owners, developers and testers
Constant desire to improve processes, people, and products

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, MIS, or Computer Science) or equivalent experience required
Ability to work within a cross functional team to develop enhancements in a highly iterative fashion
Identify and implement opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies.
Ability to support 12x7 on call rotation model
Previous experience managing large scale software development initiatives.
IT knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation, test, and documentation.
Technologies:
Experience in Operational Support and DevOps technologies
Experience with Incident and Problem Ticket Lifecycle Management
Experience in Linux, shell scripting, Perl and Oracle DBor any other relational DB
Experience in the Cable or Telecom industry is a plus
Experience in SCRUM, Agile and Lean Practices
Experience with the core AWS serviceslike EC2, IAM Roles, AMI, S3 Bucket ...etc
Experience in Terraform
Experience in GIT, Jenkins, CHEF
Knowledge in monitoring tools like Zabbix, SolarWinds
Knowledge in SAFe or other Agile framework is a plus
Exposure to large-scale systems design
Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
