Key Responsibilities And Tasks
  • Work directly with the world’s leading smartphone vendors to develop a deep understanding of their needs, problems they’re trying to solve, and the direction the mobile market is going
  • Use insight gained from interactions with the mobile ecosystem to develop outstanding controller requirements and product definitions for future mobile storage products
  • Align Memory/Storage controller requirements with market competitive analysis for Mobile platforms
  • Innovate new controller solutions to complex multi-disciplinary problems by collaborating with other team members with skill sets ranging from Si to system.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on developing, evaluating and optimizing new memory/storage architectures that improve cost, performance, power and reliability of Mobile product portfolios compared to today’s state of the art.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to evaluate trade-offs with product features, performance, power, cost, reliability as well as how to align schedules and internal resources to the needs of the business
  • Measure the success of our product requirements to gain a better understanding of how to continually improve our products and the processes we follow
Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position will have:
  • Passion, energy, personal accountability and a desire to develop outstanding products
  • Strong background in mobile storage products, the mobile market, and overall mobile ecosystem
  • Experience in mobile storage technologies UFS, uMCP, eMMC, eMCP, SSD, NAND Flash, Non-volatile memory, Storage, NVMe, PCI Express, SAS, SATA, SCSI preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge in Mobile SoC or Memory Chip Controllers
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. This role will be working with both Marketing and Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and balance this with what is achievable by engineering team within cost and schedule boundaries
  • Ability to maintain clear priorities and direction for the product development teams
  • Quick decision-making skills in high pressure environments with limited data or direction
  • Ability to lead, challenge, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Responsive, organized and detail-oriented
Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in CS, EE or CE, Master’s or an MBA is preferred.

Required Experience

10+ years combined experience in Engineering, System Architecture, Product Definition or Product Requirement roles.
