Lead Engineer- WiFi

Nordic Semiconductor´s R&D capacity is expanding and we are looking to recruit talented junior and senior embedded SW Developers to join our world-leading cross functional teams. Working with embedded SW in Agile development projects, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining drivers for our Wi-Fi chips as well as software for the Wi-Fi stack, as we enhance our Wi-Fi portfolio with cutting-edge protocols and features.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team of 2 – 3 engineers and be responsible for delivery of key modules
• Design, develop and maintain Wi-Fi drivers on OSes such as Linux, Zephyr etc.
• Design, develop and maintain Wi-Fi stack software such as supplicant.
• Be involved in open-sourcing initiatives for both Wi-Fi drivers and Wi-Fi stack software.
• Be involved in continuous enhancement initiatives such as development of dev-testing and Continuous Integration frameworks etc.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Min 8 years’ experience in the relevant areas
• Strong knowledge of WLAN technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), AAA (802.1x, RADIUS) technologies
• Device driver development or Wi-Fi software stack development experience
• Very strong coding & debugging skills in C
• Knowledge of one or more of the computer system buses such as PCIe, USB, SDIO, SPI etc.
• Strong in OS concepts such as scheduling, multi-threading, processes, SMP, inter process communication etc.
• Experience of an RTOS, ideally Zephyr
• Familiarity of embedded TCP/IP stack software
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development
• The ability to navigate in a global matrix organization
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
