Job Description: Business Analyst (BA)/Product Owner (PO)
Roles & Responsibilities
As Sr. Digital Business Analyst(BA)/ Product Owner(PO), you’ll play a key role in our Digital
Transformation ’New Business’ Journey Team, analysing and translating business for technical
development staff, business partners and management.
You’ll be part of a dedicated, self-organizing, cross-functional agile team, working with the Scrum
Master/ Project Manager/Program Manager to refine backlog and prioritize use cases, as well as
driving understanding of data and process requirements.
Technical capabilities aside, if you’re a self-starter with great attention to detail, and able to use
individual judgment and initiative while working with minimal supervision, you’re an ideal addition
to our team.
Job Description
• Analyze business problems, evaluate business needs, and clarify requirements, data,
processes, and systems for simple or complex technology projects
• Gathering business and functional requirements.
• Developing requirements documents: goal model, functional modeling, business process,
customer interactions/wireframes; writing high-level user requirements (Epics and User Stories)
and Process flows/analysis in JIRA/Azure Devops
• Work with Scrum Master to refine backlog, prioritize use cases and drive understanding of data
and process requirements
• • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer
experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting.
• Must have experience working on requirements gathering, storyboarding, Modeling and
collaboration tools like Visio, Balsamic, Slack, Trello, Pencil, Slack, Smart Draw etc
• Prefer BA/PO to have worked on projects that are being implemented using Agile/SCRUM
methodology including the being on SCRUM team as BA, being the BA responsible for
eliciting requirements and documenting those using Use Cases and User Stories. This
includes using tools such as Visio to create diagrams and flows with these artifacts.
• Ability to lead client/stakeholder working sessions/topic sessions (setting up meetings,
creating agendas and facilitating calls which requires using online collaboration tools.
• Proven ability eliciting and gathering requirements, including scope definition, requirements
documentation, preferably in Use Case format, and impact analysis on complex, high-
visibility projects spanning multiple lines of business and stakeholder communities
• Ability to take complex problems and break them down into well-organized, logical, and
detailed descriptions to facilitate problem solving
• Proven experience as a leader, with the ability to facilitate requirements workshops and
collaborate effectively across both business and technology partners
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to present effectively to both business and
technical audiences at all levels of the organization
• Excellent inter-personal and partnering skills to facilitate effective working relationships
• JIRA & Confluence, Azure Devops experience greatly desired
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Must be an excellent collaborator and team player

  • Must have experience writing acceptance criteria, BRDs, Use Cases and user stories.
    Experience in preparing use cases and formal requirements documentation.
    • Must have experience facilitating conference calls and running grooming sessions
    • Analyzing and simplifying the requirement scenarios and be able to write prerequisites,
    Acceptance Criteria. Work closely with the business and technology to gather & write end to end
    business testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
    • Ensuring that releases are getting completed as per timeline and quality by working closely with
    the product delivery team and keeping daily track of progress.
    • Coordinate UAT activities prior to new product releases and client onboarding events including
    tracking of defects and progress of resolution.
    • Escalation of issues in a timely manner and ensure adherence to audit, SLA and operational
    standards.
    • Demonstrations of new functionality to business and technology users and work in tandem with
    the Documentation team to produce user manual and system documents. Work closely with the
    support team to ensure timely knowledge transfer
    • Providing analysis and support for the project management, application development, and QA
    teams throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Acting as a liaison between the technology department and other business units.
    • Working on RFI or RFP proposals. Participating in process studies or pre-sales process of
    responding to RFI, RFP, and proposals.
    • Leading business and technical analysis sessions to support new development efforts to meet
    current and projected business needs.
    • Quickly understanding the business issues and data challenges of clients organization and
    industry.
    • Providing expertise on the system’s capabilities/limitations as it relates to business goals.
    • Preparing impact and opportunity assessments regarding the cost/benefit of proposed projects.
    • Aligning stakeholders on business requirements, system requirements, program functions, and
    strategy.

Education & Certifications
• Candidates preferred with CCBA, CBAP certifications issued by International Institute of
Business Analysis (IIBA)
• Good to have CSM, PSM certifications issued by Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org .
• Candidates preferred with B.Tech (IT, Engineering, Technology or related field) and
MBA(PGDM) degrees.
