Skills Required

• Demonstrable expérience using Natural Language Processing techniques, such as -extraction & parsing of relevant text from unstructured data sources such as Images/PDF/ Scanned PDF documents of varying templates using various ML libraries
• development of machine learning models for contextualizing & summarizing text by utilizing natural language processing techniques such as word2vec & association models or named entity recognition
• identification, detection and parsing of tabular structures into user defined templates from scanned images, pdf reports and forms using deep learning neural networks
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models, statistical modeling and advanced analytics
• Excellent Pattern recognition and data mining knowledge
• Strong Python skills; experience with SQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) with demonstrated successful experience.
• Deep intellectual curiosity and passion for data
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
• Self-starter, thriving in a startup environment

Advantageous Skills

• Financial industry or alternative data experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI
• Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop or other Big Data Frameworks
• Experience with cloud machine learning platforms native to Microsoft Azure and AWS, or Google Tensor Flow

Academic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas : Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a dynamic and fast-growing Analytics team. Candidate will get the opportunity to work directly with internal and external clients as we strive to deliver the best possible product in the industry. The successful candidate will develop and implement machine learning algorithms from a variety of financial and operational datasets, and work with team members globally to build solutions that drive business growth.

Responsabilités

• Work with stakeholders to determine how to use business data for valuable business solutions
• Applying a wide array of machine learning models : various regression, classification and clustering techniques, ensemble techniques (random forests, XGBoost) and time-series analysis.
• Solving a variety of business contexts : for example operational risk, trade flow patterns, client sentiment analysis
• Develop the organization’s test model quality and A/B testing framework
• Coordinate with various technical/functional teams to implement models and monitor results
• Develop processes, techniques, and tools to analyze and monitor model performance while ensuring data accuracy
