Assistant Manager, Learning & Development Solutions Architect

The team

The Enabling Areas Learning & Development team architects the development experience and solutions for the professionals working across the US and India in Deloitte’s internal client service businesses such as Finance, Marketing, Risk, Sales, Strategy, Talent, Technology and Workplace Experience.

Work you’ll do

Act as a strategic partner and consultative advisor to architect engaging, holistic development experiences that create measurable value and impact for our people and the business.

  • Define business requirements in collaboration with internal clients, uncover root causes, and identify development needs aligned to the desired business outcomes.
  • Use an agile, human-centered design approach, adopting the learner perspective to iteratively clarify needs and ideate impactful solutions.
  • Design solutions that enable continuous learning while leveraging right-use guidelines for different learning modalities across the talent lifecycle.
  • Research, test, and incorporate appropriate enabling learning technologies to drive interaction, engagement and application, optimizing the development experience.
  • Advocate the use of new learning technologies within the team and help the broader EA L&D team upskill on latest design practices, and learning technologies that can drive higher “stickiness” of learning and better transfer on the job
  • Use data throughout the development lifecycle to identify opportunities, inform decisions, test ideas, design and improve solutions, and measure impact.
  • Communicate with influence and impact, effectively conveying insights, a clear point of view and recommendations in ways that inspire action and advance the L&D strategy.
  • Work with third-party vendors, and internal design teams such as Learning Design Services to ensure execution of design projects per the articulated vision of the EA L&D team.
  • Partner with colleagues across geography on design projects and develop meaningful working relationships that help the EA L&D Team architect globally relevant learning solutions.
  • Set up and manage tracking of design projects, financials, scope, issues, risks, timelines to deliver quality development solutions within committed timelines.

Who you are

You’re a passionate learning and development professional who is energized by challenging the status quo with design and keenly interested in helping professionals develop their capabilities in order to drive business results. You’d typically have at least six years of experience in designing learning solutions across modalities.



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 6 years of learning-design or related experience
  • Demonstrated project and program management experience: organization, managing details, keeping multiple tasks and projects on track
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment


  • Prior internal/external consulting or professional services experience
  • Strong critical thinking to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes; clear understanding of how moving pieces come together to build the big picture
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office skills and ability to produce deliverables that carry a “stamp of excellence”
  • In Excel, aggregate data, complete complex analysis, and display results visually
  • In PowerPoint, translate data into insights and tell a logically structured, succinct, and compelling story tailored to your audience, with clear and easily actionable asks
  • In Word, create clear, concise, professional written communications with a user-friendly layout that facilitates easy comprehension
